Today, the California State Senate passed Assembly Bill 376 by a vote of 25-9. The bill, which effectively prohibits the sale, trade, and possession of shark fins within the state, closes one of the biggest markets for shark fins outside of Asia. AB376 previously passed the State Assembly by a vote of 60-8, and Governor Brown is expected to sign the bill into law shortly. There is hope!!!
