What we're about

The Economist: "First published in September 1843 to take part in 'a severe contest between intelligence, which presses forward, and an unworthy, timid ignorance obstructing our progress.'"

If you enjoy discussing politics and world events and enjoying the in-depth analysis of this publication then this group is for you!

Meeting on a periodic basis, the goal of this group is a gathering of like minds with like interests to chat about the issues of the day and what they mean for society. If you've never read The Economist, you can pick it up at Barnes and Noble or any of the better news and book sellers or you can access it online.

I'm a trained facilitator dedicated to leading groups in an organized manner so everyone has a chance to participate and no one's voice goes unheard. We can organize the group meeting in a local coffee shop around a particular article that is of interest to the majority and discuss as many articles as time permits.

Disclaimer: I am not an employee of The Economist or have any commercial affiliation with them. I simply enjoy learning about the world, news events, society and culture. The Economist presents a unique in-depth perspective and analysis that stimulates my mind. This group provides me with a forum where I can share that excitement with others.
