RAF Leuchars Air Show

This promises to be quite a spectacle as there are plans for a special display to mark the Queen's Jubilee at this years airshow. It could also quite possibly be the last airshow held at Leuchars so it is well worth seeing while you can.

To buy tickets (on sale now) or see more information go to the Airshow website - http://www.airshow.co.uk/

Also check out some of last years pictures featured on the BBC website that were taken by group members - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-14872043

Logistics -

There is a regular train service running directly to the airshow from Waverley and tickets last year were £38 which included entry to the show. However if some people are driving and happy to offer lifts can you please post a comment in your RSVP to advise people where you are departing from and how much money you would want as a contribution to petrol costs. For example - driving from Leith, £10 per passenger.

The viewing area is on the North side of the runway so we will be looking South all day. Suncream is a good idea.

Sounds like a plan. On the off chance, would anyone happen to have a Canon compatible zoom they are not planning to use on the day that I might be able to borrow? I only have an 18-55mm so anything more than that would be great for this event!

can't help you with a long lens but for stuff like the B-52, the Vulcan flying displays your 18-55 should be ok.
