Agile applications are being delivered increasingly across Multi-Cloud environments. Ensuring availability, reliability, performance, and security of applications in these environments, poses an enormous challenge for IT. Rapid adoption of DevOps along with the mainstream TechOps, i.e. the notion of Bi-Modal IT, adds substantially to these challenges.
Traditional siloe’d tools used for monitoring, diagnostics and troubleshooting have not been able to keep pace with these rapid changes and the onset of big data. Old IT practices involving lots of time consuming manual steps, multi-minute sampling, static rules and ad-hoc processes, are inadequate to deal with the challenges at hand. New approaches and products are required that are able to ingest and analyze high velocity and volume of machine data from these Multi-Cloud environments. IT operations analytics that can handle web-scale and that is intelligent, automated, and self-learning will lead this transformation.
In this session, we will discuss specifics of the evolving landscape, key use cases and challenges faced by TechOps and DevOps environments today. We will also discuss approaches we have taken and the learnings we have gathered at Perspica team to address some of these key challenges.

Akhil is an accomplished management and technology leader with 20+ years of experience at large enterprises and at startups. Akhil comes to Perspica from HP Enterprise group where as Sr. Director of Product Management, he envisaged, planned and managed the Solutions Program. Prior to that, he enabled acquisition of CloudWeaver as VP, Product Strategy and Management. At Dell, as Director of Products, Akhil led Product Strategy and Management of Dell’s Converged Infrastructure product line. He also led Gale Technologies, as VP of Products to its successful acquisition by Dell. At Cisco he undertook business development for VCE Coalition, and at VMware, he managed global product strategy and management for vCloud Software with focus on applications, and Virtual Appliances product line.
He has published 80+ peer-reviewed articles, authored a book, edited another, and chaired multiple International IEEE/IFIP Conferences. He has filed 20 technology Patents (with 16 granted). He has a Ph.D from INRIA France and an MBA from Wharton School.
