RE: [rawfood-339] The Fort Worth Raw/Living Food March Meetup

David,

Just to let you know, those people will probably not be interested in a vegan potluck since most are raw food people or on the way to raw.  But good gesture, nevertheless.  One of the things I've been saying about the BVS is that you should have a component of the organization that educates on raw food as well, so that people will know being vegan only is still not really the most ideal for optimal health.  Even if people do not wish to be 100% raw, if there was a raw food component in BVS then it will offer people options to have some raw food days during the week, secondly, to know the importance of raw food, and thirdly, to know the importance & how-to's of making at least a large percentage of the diet raw.  Otherwise, people tend to eat more canned goods, cooked & frozen foods, still many processed foods although meatless, all of which are really dead and without enzymes & maximum nutrients.  Yes, if I were in BVS I would encourage this.

Lissa,

I would like to attend the raw potluck on March 28.
FYI 3/28 is national meat out day. A local Veggie group is holding an meat out event on 3/28 from 10-3 at the Center for Community Cooperation in Dallas (please feel free to pass this info along to anyone, who you think might be interested).

Regards,
David
