A good GPS address to use is: 35 County Rd. North Falmouth, MA. Which is the bike shop nearby. The biking parking lot is next to the RR tracks on County Rd. Extra parking is available at the library.

Directions: 495 S becomes Rte. 25 E

After Bourne Bridge, enter rotary 2nd exit Rte. 28 S [4 mi.]

Next rotary off on 1st. exit Rte. 28 A [short]

Left to stay on Rte. 28 A [3 mi.]

Right turn on to County Rd. [Short]

After RxR tracks, right turn into biking parking lot.

Now for the Grub part: Feel free to join the group for a bite at the:

Lobster Trap. 290 Shore Rd., Bourne [masked]

If rain is in the forecast, I will cancel the night before the ride.

Hi....I guess I should read things more carefully. I was down in Falmouth, but thought you were meeting at the bike shop and the only one I know of that is open is the one further down towards Woods Hole. So, I ended up riding the trail backwards from what you guys were doing! Went to Chapaqoit Beach for a while though (right off the bike path)...so it wasn't a total loss. Hope I catch you next time!

FWIW I found this website that has bridge status, don't know how accurate it is.

Probably best if we all go Bourne and then be evenly on time or late.

Actually from what I read on those links, the Sagamore is the one that's going to be more congested, so the Bourne would be better, I think.

I wonder if it would be faster to go over the Sagamore and then cut down. Probably fairly heavy traffic given it's suppose to be a nice weekend.

Be aware that there could be significant delays getting over the Bourne bridge: http://www.nae.usace.army.mil/recreati/ccc/news/bridgealerts.htm

My cell is[masked], I plan to leave early and hope I get there on time. If anyone is late and wants us to wait, call me.

Lori, just know that those of us with no kids in tow might be cycling at a faster pace. With that in mind, it is a fun ride and the weathers supposed to work in our favor.

From what I've read it's a pretty flat ride so you should be OK.

Lori, I'd think this might be a long ride for a 5 year old when you think in terms of round-trip distance.

This is a very easy, nice flat ride. There are photographs from the time we did it last fall in the photo section.

The bikepath runs 10.7 miles each way. Here's a link to the map of the bikepath http://www.falmouthmass.us/bike/shiningseabikeway_map_2009_logos_lowrez.pdf
