This is a group for women (age 50 and up) interested in making new friends with those of us who are semi-retired, professional, friendly, interesting and happy with life in general. Meet for coffee, book club, bowling, movies, FOOD, WINE...whatever helps to create an environment for good authentic, (non-political and non-religious PLEASE) discussions and friendships. I have owned a successful small business for many years. I have wonderful friends...problem is, they are all over the country due to my career. Now that I am working and traveling a lot less, I am feeling a void! It’s time for me to build more local friendships. I would love to hear ideas about how we can proceed with creating a friendly group of buddies who are curious, enjoy a variety of conversations and have good hearts. We usually meet somewhere in the Mid Peninsula-Los Altos, Menlo Park, Foster City, Redwood City.
We have chosen what "promises" to be a "beautifully written and incredibly funny" book for our March 27th book club meeting -
Eleanor Oliphant is Fine by Gail Honeyman
We discovered it is part of Reese Witherspoon's Book Club picks and is soon to be made into a movie.
The story is about an eccentric and regimented loner whose life beautifully unfolds after a chance encounter with a stranger...what can be more intriguing?
We hope you can join us for what looks to be an enjoyable and interesting discussion as we munch on some hearty Mexican food.
We're visiting the beautiful Filoli Gardens and would love to see you all there. You can purchase a ticket before by going online to: www.filoli.org

April is especially beautiful as tulips, spring bulbs, Dogwood, Rhododendrons, and many other lovely flowers will be showing off their blooms. We will gather at the Quail's Nest Cafe' at noontime for lunch. They do not take reservations, however, so we will wait to be seated. IF YOU PREFER TO SKIP LUNCH, just check in with one of us at noon and we can plan to meet you in the gardens afterward. To view menu options, and other information, visit www.filoli.org Looking forward to a Spring Garden walk with you all.
