I have been a vegetarian for 24 years. I mostly maintain a vegetarian lifestyle but do incorporate some fish occasionally for health purposes. I have struggled with my weight my whole life and I find it very difficult to lose weight and keep it off. Like a lot of other people, I crave support to maintain a healthy life style. The purpose for this group is inspiration. If you need support losing ANY amount of weight, eating healthier, creating better exercise habits, or just motivation to an over all better life style... this group is for you!!
This is a judgement free zone for anyone at any stage.
I grew up in a health conscious house hold with a nutritionist as a mom and very athletic father. Despite that I have struggled with weight issues. I have the knowledge, but lack the support, as I know many of you do. I am very hands on so I plan to share low carb vegetarian recipes, get groups together to enjoy some creative fitness actives, conduct cooking classes and how to shop/grocery store shopping tips. I would love to share my knowledge of how to eat out at restaurants by going out to eat as a group. I want to invite others to share their stories and experiences as well.
