What we're about
The Get Involved Group (GIG), a user-led group, brings together Brighton and Hove residents with a lived experience of disability or long-term health condition (pan-impairment) to share experiences and have their voices heard on issues that directly affect them. We identify problems and help plan the solutions.
The GIG is brought together by local charity Possability People.
Do you have a lived experience of disability, or do you care for someone who does?
Do you want to have your voice heard, helping to improve services across Brighton and Hove?
Do you want to meet others, share experiences and find out what's going on in and around Brighton and Hove for disabled people?
Then come along to the Get Involved Group to have your voice heard and help improve Brighton and Hove services for everyone! We meet every 6 weeks in Central Brighton, discussing different topics chosen by the group including healthcare, access to venues, cafes and out and about, welfare reform, mental health services, housing and adaptations, adult social care, social isolation, disability and employment, Council services, and many more disability-related issues!
