Second Saturday Art Gallery is working to raise FUNDS for Suzi Brown. Suzi is a young local musician who sings, plays guitar, and dabbles in the visual arts and donates much of her time to various local, national, and international causes.
Suzi’s charitable events include Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts 2012, The Bridge 2010-2012, The Tamar Center 2010, At Risk Kids International 2010, Aloha Diner 2006, Downtown Daily Bread 1999-2010, and Mission at the Eastward 1999 -2004. Her contributions at these events include MORE than monetary donations. Suzi was part of the team rehabilitating substandard housing, developing new community partnerships, and providing emergency assistance for local residents (at Mission). Suzi helped provide meals, shelter, and assistance to the homeless (Daily Bread), as well as taught English and worked alongside women who were in the process of being rehabilitated from prostitution and trafficking in Thailand (Tamar Center). She has been a Youth Group Leader and worship bandleader (The Bridge) and most recently organized Election Day bake sales to raise funds that directly contributed to a Long Island food bank.
We want to support Suzi in her efforts to continue her charity work, so won’t you join us ?
