The Glasgow and Edinburgh Gig Group

Fancied a bit of pre Stag & Dagger madness and somebody recommended this gig to me, looks right up my alley.

Oh! Gunquit are a spunky rumble bop trash four-piece from North London who concoct a devilish brew of surf, exotica, garagepunk, 50s rnb, and twisted rockabilly. Tribal tom-toms beat wildly, guitars twang, Manchine the hep-cat yelps and Dr Zoom's sax wails while hula hooping lead singer Tina Bopper purrs and bawls like a voodoo tranced she-devil.

Festival booking season has kicked in and this is my farourite. Great line up this year. Indoor multi-venue all day festival based around venues on and around Sauchiehall Street, including Broadcast, Nice and Sleazy and the Garage.

The last gig Chelsea Wolfe scheduled for Glasgow was cancelled because of covid, so its pretty cool that she has now scheduled another tour for later this year. This should be a good show I reckon.
