If you've lost all your drinking buddies to their relationships, marriages, babies or other such grown up pursuits and find yourself sat at home on a weekend lamenting the loss of your social life then this is the group for you! As the name suggests we will be mostly (but not necessarily exclusively) entertaining ourselves and each other around Gloucester roads various pubs and restaurants by drinking, eating, watching music, talking nonsense and generally being merry. I am also open to other suggestions as I'm not a complete alcy and if anyone would like to get involved in organizing events and such then drop me a line...
Join us for a laid-back after work social drink at the Cider Press.
This will be a perfect opportunity to mingle, make some new friends and see some familiar faces 🍻
With 32 ciders to choose from, and apples are your preference, there is a flavour to suit every taste. But, have no fear, there is also a wide range of craft beers and a selection of gins, accompanied by fever-free tonics available.
👉 We are meeting at the bar at around 7:00 PM
I will be posting updates on the day.
✨Vanue TBC; potentially this will be at my place but we might be going out for coffee ✨
Hello ladies! 👋
I'd like to aim this meetup event at our lovely ladies 👯♀️🧕👧♀️👯
This is will a relax and casual event, where we will meetup for a coffee and some treats and discuss a very important topic that is *meetup events and safety*
It has come to my attention that although those events are rare, some of us have experienced unwelcomed advances from men, rude behaviour, some forms of harassment etc.
As a woman, I know and understand the stress of going out and constantly being on high alert.
I want to make sure that you are all safe and that we support each other through those kind of situations, should they arise.
The topics that we will be discussing:
👉 How to stay safe during nights out, events - we will share tips and do's and don'ts
👉 How to deal with difficult situations; we will discuss our own experiences, how we have reacted to them, what we could have done better etc.
👉 How to ask for help? As sad as it is, a lot of us feel ashamed or scared asking for help when dealing with challenging situations. We will discuss how we can ask for help
👉How to say "NO" ; although this might sound easy, sometimes it is the hardest thing to do. We are worried of hurting the other person's feelings, coming across uptight etc. We will discuss how to say "NO" in a way that gets the message across and reduces the danger od being abused
👉 Creating a support network; all of us will be invited to join a WhatsApp group where we can stay in touch, alert other ladies of any harassing individuals and keep each other supported and safe
Looking forward to catching up with you all then my darlings!
Lots of love ♥️
