We had such a good time back in the fall at a centennial event at St. Thomas Church on Fifth Avenue, that we're going back for more --- and hopefully more of another great buffet!!!

The site description is, "Art Historian Inge Reist gives a free lecture on the neo-gothic design and structure of Saint Thomas Church by Ralph Adams Cram and Bertram Goodhue." Pithy, but I guess that says it all :)

I can at least tell you that Bertram Goodhue was also the architect of St. Bart's on Park Avenue and St. Vincent Ferrer up by Hunter College.

Here's the link to all their centennial doings, just to keep you up to snuff:

How to meet us: Meet us at 5:45pm just inside the church vestibule. Please be prompt for this one, as we'll want to go inside quickly to be seated before the talk starts at 6:30pm. I will be holding my hand-scrawled MEETUP sign.

Admission: No admission fee per se to St Thomas Church , but there might be a collection or request for free will offering, so be prepared for that. We do also have our own $1 fee to help defray the costs of maintaining this meetup group, payable to the organizer.
