Free python (on linux) consoles

Hi Everyone,

I know that not everyone in our group has their own development environment setup, and that can be limiting. I recently came across a neat thing that can help with that.

https://www.pythonany...

pythonanywhere.com hosts free bash and python consoles that are accessible through a web browser. The consoles persist across login sessions and should be available from any modern web browser. I was even able to run emacs from a bash console!

Another nice perk is that they have included a bunch of libraries in the standard environment. See that list here: https://www.pythonany...

To summarize: pythonanywhere.com provides a free, pre-installed, standard linux shell that we can use for light python development. Check it out!

Thanks,
Matthew

P.S. If you want to talk more about this or anything else, I'll be available in #hartfordpython on the freenode irc server.
