Sexual Psychology Workshop with Merissa Gerson: Developing Your Character’s Relationship to Sex, Body and Sexuality
Sex is often a driving plotline of complexity where everything unspoken can come forward. As writers, the page only comes alive when real life is represented, including the complexity and layered nature of sex and sexuality. This class will look at different sexual plotlines and what they imply. This first workshop will be part lecture part discussion, going into the complex worlds of San Francisco’s sexual underground and talking about what they teach us about developing plots in the larger world. Looking at group sex, sex after trauma, PTSD, tantra, porn stars as healers and more. Bring your writing to the next level, whether it be fiction, memoire, screenplays, TV or beyond.
