- First 'Stitchers Club' Meeting
Calling all sewers, knitters, crocheters, and generally crafty kids (or those who would like to be). Come to our our first get together to see what our strengths are, things we might like to learn, work on some existing projects, or see about starting a new one. My three kids and I will be crafting pom pom bunnies and chicks from yarn (with enough supplies to share!), but have lots of additional yarn and needles and are free to teach some knitting basics to anyone wanting to learn. Feel free to bring along whatever you'd like to work on!
- Science Fair!
Calling all junior scientists! We will be entering into the TWU science fair this spring and would enjoy having some friendly faces in the crowd. One our members, Chris Aurthur, is planning on hosting an event or two at the Keller Library for us all to gain encouragement, discuss our ideas/projects, and to troubleshoot if necessary. I will post those opportunities to those that are RSVP'd on Meetup. This is a K-8 event The downside is that K-3 is held during the morning session, and 4-8 is in the afternoon, making this and ALL day affair for families with siblings straddling the age gap. For anyone interested, please simply google "TWU science fair" for full details and to get registered.
- Ft Worth Homeschool Convention
For those of you who were not aware (which was in fact ME up until this afternoon), there is a homeschool convention taking place in Ft Worth this weekend! This is meant simply as a friendly FYI, not an official Meetup. Early registration pricing ends tonight at midnight!
- Homeschool Round Table
The Keller Library is hosting a "Homeschool Round Table" event to discuss library services and resources. Of course, it will make for a great way to meet and greet other homeschool families. Park time afterward anyone?
