I am currently working with the Dept of Records to set up a designated meetup for our group one evening that would include a talk, tour and possible use of the records. There is however an upcoming event that may be of interest to you. There is no charge for this event. I have also included the flyer - please visit under the "More" tab above and select "Files" from the pulldown menu.
"We Built This City", honoring New York City's Irish Labor Force that with food, music, dancing and drinks include an exhibit highlighting the Irish influence in New York City dating back to the 1600s.
Speakers will include Irish Consul General Noel Kilkenny, Peter Ward of the New York Hotel Trades Council, Al Hagan, President of Uniformed Fire Officers Association and Denis M Hughes fomer President of NYS AFL-CIO
Being held at Surrogate's Court Building, 31 Chambers Street (Lobby).
I "may" see you there if I can make it. If you do attend please introduce yourself to Marcia Kirk who is the Curator of the Visitor Center there. It is she with whom I am coordinating a future meetup.
