Tech challenged this morning but wanted to get the information out: to purchase tickets

Ticket price ranges from $25-65

If there are several members that decide to attend I will arrange for us to meet for a pre-show catch up.

The Irish Chamber Orchestra, one of Ireland’s leading cultural ambassadors, tours the US with the
legendary pianist Leon Fleisher. Fleisher’s musicianship is the stuff of legend. He has the most famous right hand in classical music, because for thirty years….it didn’t work. A man who dedicated a lifetime to music, one of the most influential educators of his generation, still enthrals capacity audiences the world over, re-affirming his position among the truly great pianists of our time.
The tour is part of Imagine Ireland, a year-long season of Irish arts in America in 2011, an initiative
of Culture Ireland, with funding from the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. Culture Ireland is the state agency for the promotion of Irish arts worldwide.
The ICO’s concert at the Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center on October 31, 8pm has particular significance as the program includes a specially commissioned work Termōn by Irish composer Mícheál Ó Suilleaháin to commemorate the tenth anniversary of 9/11.
The American Ireland Fund is proud to commission Termōn as an expression of our solidarity with those who suffered so much as a result of the 9/11 attacks and of the deep, rich and unbreakable bond
between our two countries.
The Irish Chamber Orchestra is asking for the support of all Irish Americans and all those for whom
it would be a special experience to hear this piece set amongst some of the outstanding works of
classical music repertoire.
Haydn Symphony No. 96, D major (The Miracle)
Prokofiev Piano Concerto (Left Hand), No. 4, Op.53
Ó Súilleabháin Termõn (On the 10th Anniversary of 9/11) New York Première
