We will have a presentation and talk from the Irish Costume Society on Regency Fashion, followed by afternoon tea, then a lecture on Georgian Dublin by Dr Mark Hennessy (Trinity College). There will be a demonstration on How to dance a quadrille - and a chance to participate for those interested, with musical performances by talented musicians from the Royal Academy of Music. There is a bar open all day and there will be many opportunities to chat with fellow Janites about what makes our favourite author so special. All this and in the beautiful surrounds of the Law Society, Blackhall Place, built just two years before Austen was born. Tickets are €10 for members, €12.50 for guests. Tickets include afternoon tea. 3pm - 5:30 Contact www.thejaneaustensocietyofireland.com for details.
