The Saturday Ladies only Bike Ride: Triple F

Good Morning Ladies

This Saturday we will meet at the McDonalds on Pecos and McQueen at 5:30 am with wheels down at 5:45 am. The summer is in full bloom so we will start early to stay ahead of the sun.

This is a great ride. It is as Flat as Arizona has to offer which make it fast and Fun.

The Ladies as that you plan on a 4 hr bike ride

Along with the heat and drinking plenty of water to keep the body hydrated, you will need to Feed the body so it can keep up with the demands that you call for.

Always eat a balanced dinner of protein and Carbs the night before the ride. Then eat a light breakfast before the ride such as peanut butter toast and a banana. Toast egg and cheese, then bring something to eat along the ride.

You may not think that you are burning a lot of calories but you are. A rule of thumb: you can skip breakfast if you are only going out for 1 hour bike ride or exercise, but you will need to eat something if you are going to be out for 2 hours or more..

I know but "I'm trying to loose weight", well not eating will not help, by not eating you may bonk on the longer rides or cause the body to pull what they need from your muscles..

Always eat some form of protein within an hour after the bike ride. This will help in the repair and regeneration of the muscle that you tore down in the ride.

Have a great week

see you Saturday

I really wanna do this route but I'm afraid I'll slack behind. I can do averagely around 12-15 mph consistently, but when I push myself I can go faster for a couple of miles. Is this a drop ride?
