Thanks Gordon. There doesn't seem to be much info about Barbara online. There's a Wikipedia entry about her husband - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Woodburn (I think this is the right person?) but when you click on the link to Barbara Woodburn in the article, it comes up blank! If you had some info that coudl be published we could add this to the Leith Lives archive - http://leithlives.org/archive - and possibly Wikipedia too. Publishing pieces on women who have made a difference to Leith could work well as part of our involvement in the Festival.

Sorry I can't make it but you may want to check out one of my predecessors Barbara Woodburn . A former teacher and an ILP stalwart she was at one point Edinburgh's longest serving Councillor. There is amemorial bench for her in Taylor Gardens.

Hi Rita, Sorry to hear you can't make it, but if you have any suggestions you'd like to make please do let us know. The Festival runs from 22-29 Feb, so we still have a bit of time to plan!

Sorry I can't make it...my volunteer day at dementia daycare. Sounds like a great idea and definitely a group worth celebrating!
