Happy New Year!
Our first #LEGup of 2014 is all about crowdsourcing. If you've been thinking about using Kickstarter or other crowdsourced funding platform to finance your game or app then this is an essential meetup for you. We've invited several veterans of the crowdsourcing experience to come and share their wisdom with us. There will also be time for networking during the event and in the pub afterwards.
Our first speaker is Producer/Director/Writer, Martin Gooch (http://www.martingoochdirector.com), who financed two feature films with a combination of crowdsourcing, charm and sheer bloody-mindedness. His second film, The Search for Simon, premiered at Sci-Fi London and featured Monty Python's Carole Cleveland and gaming legend Ian Livingstone in the cast.
Our second speaker is James Wallis (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Wallis_(games_designer)), who has spoken to #LEGup before about his classic card game, Once Upon A Time (which became an accidental hit with teachers). This time James will be taking us on a rollercoaster ride through his experiences with Kickstarter, some of which you can read about here (http://edugameshub.com/the-ten-secrets-to-running-a-successful-kickstarter-for-games/).
