Directions to get to the start point of the walk at 10am:

1. If you get Bakerloo, District or overground lines to Paddington, follow the pink and yellow line on Paddington railway station floor to the Hammersmith and City + Circle line station at the opposite end of Paddington railway station. Go up either the ramp or stairs and you will see the old H+C station entrance. Follow a covered tunnel-like walkway on the right of the old exit that leads to the new part of the railway station. At the end of the tunnel-like walkway turn left anfd you will see the new Hammersmith and City + Circle line station entrance. On the right hand side of the entrance there is a set of steps up to the Grand Union Canal (exit 3). There is a floating bookshop and we'll be near there.

2. If you get Hammersmith and City + Circle line, just take the steps on the immediate left of the station exit up to the Grand Union Canal tow path. There is a floating bookshop opposite the entrance and we'll be near there.

The walking for fitness walks are around parks, with a focus on improving fitness levels, rather than being scenic. This walk is 3.5 miles with a few steps to get to the Regents canal and incline at Primrose Hill.

The pace will still be gentle and set according to the slowest walker in the group. This may mean the pace may differ a little each walk. Having said that, as the weather is getting colder we do need to keep to a reasonable pace to stay warm! Once the walk starts, no one will be left behind. The walk should end by noon.
