The Plan:
We have chartered a 50’ yacht for the week and plan to sail along the stunning Turkish coast from Marmaris to Bodrum stopping at various beautiful bays on the way! It’s going to be a relaxed trip and we plan to stay each night in a different bay either at anchor or moored to a town quay where there will be plenty of time to enjoy the local cuisine and a few sundowners! Everyone will be involved in the sailing and free tuition will be available

When:
1st June to 8th June 2019 (Please note you need to arrive in Marmaris by around 12pm on the 1st June 2019!! So you may need to fly on Friday 31st May.

Route:
We will start the trip in Marmaris and then visit a number of bays/towns including Ciftlik, Serce Limani, Datca and Bodrum. The route is not fixed and may varying depending on conditions, but we will be sure to stay in some beautiful unspoilt places!
Boat: We have booked a Dufour 500GL luxury yacht and have the option to book further boats as required – all will be equally comfortable, spacious and fully equipped with all necessary safety equipment and navigational aids. If there is sufficient interest we will book upto 3 yachts.

Event Organiser/skipper: Mike Johns
Mike is an experienced Yachtmaster (and also holds current first aid/sea survival certificates and radio licence certificates). This is a week-long trip so I always meet everyone who wants to come to make sure everyone is looking for the same kind of holiday. To have a chat about the holiday please drop Mike an email (or message via the Meetup site) in the first instance.

Crew:
So far, we are a group of 5 young professionals 30s-40s in age. We are unlikely to be out clubbing each night but definitely all up for a few drinks, lots of laughs and enjoying plenty of local cuisine each evening wherever we end up staying! This trip is open to sailors of all abilities including novices!

Accommodation:
Accommodation will be in shared double or twin cabins. Cabins on this yacht vary in size so are being offered at slightly different prices to reflect this – see below. There is good storage all cabins. We often get asked if cabins are available for sole occupancy and, of course that’s fine, however we can only accommodate this if you agree to cover the full charter cost of the other space in the cabin.

Cost:
The yacht charter cost includes basic charter and insurance premium costs of the yacht, end cleaning, towels, bed linen, Dinghy and cooking gas. Terms & Conditions (available by email) apply.

For LSC members the total cost of the yacht charter is between £355 and £520 depending on the cabin chosen. There are 2 options available:
1. Single berth in a large shared double or twin aft cabin £520
2. Single berth in a smaller double bow cabin £355

Costs are per person excluding flights, transfers and boat kitty and are to be paid (by bank transfer) as follows:
• £250 to confirm your place payable within 7 days of signing up
• £balance payable by the 10th March 2019
(balance will vary depending on the cabin chosen)
Note: Non LSC club members will need to pay an additional temporary LSC membership fee (£12). This is to be paid via the skipper.

Extras: Any accommodation ashore; restaurant/bar bills . Kitty approx. £200; Flight: approx. £250
Note: The boat kitty will be used to cover all shared food and drinks on-board, mooring fees, diesel, water, local taxes, insurance excesses, outboard and any other boat associated costs not covered by the initial cost of the trip! It is only an estimate but experience suggests its about right!

Options: Its likely some people will be arriving a few days early and staying for a couple of extra days at the end to explore other parts of Turkey further.
