Anyone who has been hanging around this group far too long than is good for them - me, principally - will be aware that we have done a walk beginning in Borough Green (where this walk will begin) and ending in Sevenoaks (where this walk will end) before: on November 29 2009. Never fear: I shall introduce some elegant variation so no one, least of all me, need feel cheated.
And it is a fine walk, too, passing not one, but two fine National Trust treasures in the form of the 14th century manor house of Ightham Mote (pictured) and the stately park and palace of Knole; plus woods, an Iron Age fort, the odd expansive view and, if we are lucky, some deer.
Total length is about 8 miles (13km). There will be the usual pub stop for lunch and at the end, natch, and as usual I shall get group rail tickets for us on the day when we are all assembled.
Lovely - see you there!
