Italy’s volcanic spine has a unique soil structure, offering wines of truly distinctive qualities. Join Decanter Magazine and Vulcania, the Association of Volcanic DOCs from Italy, for this fascinating tasting in the elegant surroundings of Chandos House.
More than 25 boutique producers from Italy’s volcanic regions, from Soave in the north to Etna in the south, not forgetting wines from the shadow of Mount Vesuvius near Naples, will make this a unique opportunity to test “the volcano effect”. Star names include Fattori, Coffele and Gini from Soave, D’Ambra from Ischia, Tenuta di Fessina and Cottanera from Etna, and Sassotondo from Pitigliano in Tuscany.
The tasting lasts from 6-8pm and you can arrive at any time. I will be doing a guided wine walk at 6.30 so that you can meet other memebrs of the group. And for those who would like to we will go somewhere nearby for dinner after the tasting.
