I enjoyed this meetup. The organisers and speaker were really enthusiastic and had a lot of great ideas. As someone who is fairly new to social media this was really useful

Interesting presentation from Lee, but I wanted to learn more about running events, Meetup and working with the Meetup platform, not to learn about social media PR / marketing. I will want to know the agenda in advance before attending another Meetup Meetup.

It was great meeting those who attended, speaking with you made me realise I made the right decision to start the organizers group, we have got quality connections amongst organizers and I want to say a big thank you to Bernie for the fantastic support. We observed that one major concern for organizers is Venue – We need to help each other in this aspect. In our future meetings we will be looking at the concern picked up from individual discussions. Bernie will be sending out a summary of today’s event so everyone can have a feel of it.
Thank you all for making it happen and I look forward to seeing next week.

Warm and welcoming hospitality from Placida and Bernie and a brilliant intro to the maze of Social Media options by Lee - plus a lively group of entertaining members - made this event very special for me. A relaxed, genuine thread of friendship and humour weaved us all together, despite our varied backgrounds, and this magical format could well become a blueprint for all other Meetup organisations to follow. An utterly ace event and the perfect ambience in which to welcome our founder. Thank you!

A great meetup. I learn't a huge amount about running a good meetup and leveraging social media amongst a very collaborative group. Highly recommended.

Another point would be to have full address not just partial.. ie postal code. Unsure if I can find it or make it but aim to come this evening. Thank god I checked as I would've come later had I not.

This is wierd: I thought the invitation to this event was from Meetup themselves, to meet the founder, Chris. Further investigation and this is a meetup organised by a group called BOD? Not even by Meetup, so feel a bit scammed here, anyone else confused? Update 3/3 Thanks to Bernie 4 calling & clarifying, so no scam, u can meet Scott on the 11th, but not 4th! I'm leaving my comment here because I *did* feel scammed before Bernie called me to explain.

Hello Guys there are two meetings, Meeting tomorrow 4th is just a quick one to meet ourselves before the 11th and get a ball rolling. is organized by The MOG- ?Meetup Organizers Group? It is not organized by The Bod- ?The Business Online Directory? It both started by Placida. I will be happy to meet you all as we plan for the arrival of Scott the Founder and CEO of Meet Up on the 11th. Like Andrew said it's always nice to meet people.

The meetup event to meet the founder link brought me to this event and not to the correct one. I do feel like the advertisement of event and links were wrong and unsure of coming really. When one sends a message about meeting the founder and link to event should link to event not some other event before hand. But it is nice to meet other people nonetheless.

    Hello People,
This Meet Up is a smaller ?prequel? to the main ?Scott Heiferman? event next week - a brilliant opportunity to get together to add more fun to the next weeks Meet UP HQ event here.
