Aug 2018 General Meeting
Join us at the Billings Library for the Aug 2018 General Meeting. As normal we will review the Project and Best Shots photos from the month before and look at any photos in the Comments / Suggestions gallery. (And yes, they have recalibrated the overhead so now the colors in the pictures should look correct (I hope)). Then we are going to have some shooting time. I will try to have several subjects (Models / Dancers) for us to photograph. So bring your cameras and any equipment you want to use. This should give everyone a chance to see a variety of equipment and styles of photographing people. I will set up a separate gallery in the MSA web site to show the photos you get and we will review them at the next meeting. If you have someone who would like to be a model for the shoot let me know and bring them along.

    What we're about

I am looking for people at any experience level, from point and shoot to pro, to participate in this relaxed photography association. Contribute your thoughts in this open, considerate forum. Let's swap tips and experiences, share our images and stories -- and have fun doing it! Looking for members who are friendly and willing to share their experience and passion for photography with other members. Some of the things I will be offering are: • Photo Walks • Creative & Technical Knowledge Sharing • Fun Photography Challenges • Photography Trades • Group Events • Family Events • Guess Speakers • Photography workshops • On-line Educational info. (links) • Open forum Critique & Encouragement I'll be kicking off this Meetup with some hands-on training to help you with the basic settings common to all digital SLR cameras and some of the simple easy things you can do to that can dramatically improve your photographs! Some topics will include: Camera Equipment, Lighting, Exposure, Portraiture, Landscape, Macro Photography, and Night Shots just to name a few. Please join us, share your knowledge and creativity, and get to know other photographers in Montana. I hope to see you at the meeting.
