Hike to the Cliffs

Join us on a scenic towpath trek along the Nockamixon Cliffs
section of the Delaware Canal.  Five to seven
mile hike south along the towpath and back, past river valley homes and farms,
an eagle's nest, and the towering majesty of the Nockamixon cliffs.  Good shoes recommended and registration
requested.

Wonderful! I'm glad that you had a great hike and that the eagles made a personal visit. I was thrilled to see the eagle on the nest, but a fly over is fabulous.

Thank you Sarah for organizing this great event. We took the longer hike and on the way back BOTH eagles flew over us several times. It was unbelievable!

Glad to hear it Reggie, I'm hoping that the eagles will make a great showing today. Yesterday we saw the eagle on the nest plus a fly over by the other eagle.

Hey Sarah, glad you posted this event. You got me soo curious about the eagle's nest area from the last time we spoke. BTW, did saw an eagle's nest (assuming) in Merill Crk 2-3 weeks ago. Snow geese flying in unison was a spectacle.

There is a small parking lot right at our meeting spot and a larger Fish and Boat Commission parking lot about 1/4 mile north. We should have plenty of parking.

I'm excited, the snow is melting! Hiking should be much easier now.
