Did you know that the Montrose Center operates a drop-in Seniors Center? The SPRY Montrose Diner is open M, W and Friday in rooms 112/113. Hours are 9 AM – 1 PM, and a free meal is served at Noon. Activities include Active Living Every Day exercise class, Tai Chi, games day, SPRY Potluck, movie day, free haircuts, field trips, speakers from various entities that serve seniors and monthly birthday celebrations. Basic eligibility requirements are that participants are 60 years old or better and reside in Harris County. All new participants must complete an eligibility packet with Diner staff prior to being served their first meal.
We'll be having a monthly Positive Understanding of Sex, Sensuality & Yourself (PUSSY) workshop series focusing on sex positivity and reducing shame! We'll be playing with sex toys, making awkward jokes, and discussing the very real ways in which sex relates to race, class, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, culture, and feminism.
