Lets meet for brunch again!!!

I have been to Bhojan and totally enjoyed the food ambiance and service.  They have a great vegetarian and vegan menu with many choices  For those who do not like hot and spicy, they will accomodate your taste preferences.

We have 80 members and I'm hoping that more people will be able to attend. Please RSVP  ASAP.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.

Best,

Ritalynn

Is anyone going to Deer Park Outlets today? Food Sun. was good. Joyce, I do not know what happened to your dish. They did not bring everything together, for sure. Better luck, next time.

Nice meeting everyone. Its too bad the service at this restaurant was poor.

Yeah...food was good...service was kinda shitty...I ordered a "starter" dish that I never got. Good news is I wasn't charge for it. In the restaurant's defense...think they didn't have enough waiters to handle the crowd.

I meant to say I wasn't CHARGED for it (not charge).

Loved all attending members, loved the organizer, but too small a place and noisy, for comfort . :o)

I look forward to meeting other vegetarians and hope that some will want to do a mini informal lunch at Candle Cafe, 73rd & Third Ave. following this event.Perhaps we can arrange a date and time after meeting on Sun.Thanks, Adela for helping to promote this lunch.

Hi Lucille and Ritalynn, it is Jill who'd like to go to Candle Café possibly on the Sunday after the 16th event [masked] at 2 pm) so she can ask those present whether they wish to come. We can do this without announcing on the site as Jill isn't well versed on computer tech. For those who are interested, we could communicate via our private emails by clicking "Reply to All" if you wish. We'll keep the group to only 4 so we don't need to make reservations with all their complications, etc. AND, create a waitlist for the subsequent 4-people groups. :o)

Anyone interested? You can email Jill....However, perhaps Ritalynn can make it the 23rd and if so, with her savvy computer tech, she can announce it as she's been doing it in her past events. ;-)

Hi - I can make 2/23 but not 2/9. Perhaps we can schedule Candle Café for a later time. I hear it is a great place

Jill, on Feb. 16 we go to:

    Bhojan Indian Restaurant
102 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY (map)

    Read Ritalynn's post. :o)

I'd like to go to but I have plans for the 9th. You can all go on your own or call before them before.. They get very crowded after 12 so you may want to get there at that time. Please let me know how you make out.
    Enjoy!!

Hi Lucille, Sorry about the confusion. WE ARE STILL GOING TO BHOJAN ON THE 16TH. Some people suggested that a 5-7 people also go to Candle Cafe on the 9th.

      1 · January 25, 2014

    • Ritalynn F.

I hope this explains what is going on. Let me know.

      January 25, 2014

  • Jill S.

Ritalynn; A few of us want to know if you might have interest in a small meet up at Candle Cafe which might allow the first 5-7 people in order to satisfy their requirements for a small # for reservations? If we keep the # down to 4-5 per group, maybe we do not need reservations? What do you think? Do you have interest? Maybe on Feb.9, one week b4 bhojan meet up at Candle? (cafe on Lex and 74th?)How is 2 P.M.? I hope we can do this as we have a few interested people.

  • Jill S.

Ritalynn; Sun at 2:30 to 4 works for me with no problem. I am opposed to eating late and traveling home late at night. I tend to get up early and retire early in the evening and I usually eat dinner by 6 P.M.
    Thanks. Jill

  • Jill S.

I am interested in a lunch on weekends but doubt if I would want to participate at 8P.M., especially if restaurant is in Manhattan. I might be interested if we do a dinner and play or concert but a trip for dinner only would not interest me. I live in northern Queens so my trip is a problem at night. thanks. Jill

Great idea to make dinner for those who work but... why so late Ritalynn? Why not 6:30, or even 7:00?

    1 · January 22, 2014

  • Ritalynn F.

Just to clarify, 8-8:30 doesn't mean a 1/12 hour dinner. How about 8-10pm?

    January 22, 2014

  • Ritalynn F.

Dinner during the week works for me. Let me know if
you would like to do an 8-8:30 dinner on a Wed. or F or possibly Fri. I will arrange a this for our March meetup.

Not to confuse things, but what about a dinner during the week???

I can do Sat or Sun, but I work so weekdays are no good for me. Even on Sat, though, I'd love it if it wasn't smack in the middle of the day.

I can do NO Saturdays NOR Thursdays.... :(
How about a weekday just once? If we go M-F from 11am to 4pm to Zen Palate, we get a regal (abundant, delicious and nutritious) $10 buck dish and it even includes beverage! :o)

    January 22, 2014

  • Jill S.

Better to keep things simple, though, so everyone is not confused.

Sun is usually good for me. Sat is ok too.

Is there anyone else who might like to see these brunches take place a little earlier in the day? 2:30-4:30 really eliminates the chance of doing anything before or after, at least for those of us who have to spend up to an hour getting there and back. I would love to see 1:00-3:00 instead. Any thoughts?

    1 · January 21, 2014

    • Diane

I understand your concerns. Is there anyone else who'd like to see these brunches sometimes held on a Sat.? For some of us, Sunday is a church day. Not a complaint, just asking. If Sun. Is best for the group, that's fine. It's great there is a group like this & someone to do the hard work of organizing it.
