SPECIAL COLD WEATHER/COLD WATER ADDENDUM TO DISCLAIMER:
This is considered extreme kayaking during COLD WEATHER MONTHS...Please be in considerate of others and abide the following rules for EXTREME WEATHER PADDLING. you are not only a danger to yourself but you are endangering the rest of the group as well.
Please dress and pack appropriately for this cold weather paddles. PFD are worn at all time from put in to take out, If you don't want to wear your PFD, then don't come. Do not wear any cotton clothing; blue jeans and a cotton t-shirt...go on home. Bring a second set of dry non-cotton clothing and shoes in a dry bag just in case you take an unplanned tumble/swim. If you do take an unplanned tumble, we will stop for you to change into your dry clothes immediately to avoid hypothermia...This short delay will avoid a much longer emergency delay if/when have to call in emergency personnel to rescue you...
