Our Haunted Irish Pubs of New York tour this Halloween season will next take us to Paddy Reilly's (http://www.paddyreillysmusicbar.us/) on the east side. Paddy's has been the home of Irish music in New York since 1986 and is the only all-Guinness draft bar in the world. And it's also been the site of mysterious goings-on for several years now
Staff have reported bottles and glasses being knocked off shelves and an antique water pump at one end of the bar moving by itself. Spectral forms have been seen moving in the basement of the building and residents in the apartments above the bar have seen faces in their windows and a ghostly apparition peddling a stationary bike in an apartment that a previous tenant died in in 1994.
Paddy Reilly's and its ghosts were featured on the "Shamrock Spirits" (http://www.syfy.com/ghosthunters/episodes/season/s06/episode/e603/shamrock_spirits) episode of SyFy channel's Ghost Hunters, which first aired on St. Patrick's Day, 2010.
Paddy Reilly's manager Steve Duggan, who appeared on the Ghost Hunters episode, will be our host for the evening and will give us the ghostly back story and fill us in on the latest paranormal phenomena to haunt the pub. All attendees will receive a wristband that will get you happy hour prices--$2 off all drinks--all night long.
It will all make for a spooky, but fun Friday happy hour at one of New York's legendary Irish pubs so be sure to join us!
