UPDATED: Small group "dotfiles" extravaganza!
Unfortunately, due to unforeseeable circumstances, our main speaker is unable to make it tomorrow. Fear not, we have a plan!
To start, we'll give anyone interested in addressing the original topic a chance to speak / ask questions. The rest of the time will be spent in small groups helping each other with our dotfiles (.vimrc, .bashrc, .zshrc, .profile, etc).
Additionally, if you think you can give a main talk, off the cuff, on the original topic, we'd be more than happy to hear it!
ORIGINAL: Tl;dr learn how to make Vim feel like home for your favorite programming language(s)! Especially for Go, since that's our main topic!
Vim should be a happy place for your favorite programming language. Luckily, with its built-in functionality and extensibility, Vim can be configured to be any programming language's HAPPIEST place!
Join us as our resident Vim experts take you from a backwaters editing experience into enlightenment!
* Introduction: 5-10 minutes
* Short talks (optional): 10-15 minutes
* Long talk: ~30 minutes: Nick Camillo has offered to give a presentation about using Vim while working on Go projects.
* Informal mingling: the remaining time
At the end, we'll split up into small groups to share informal tips and get to know each other!
NOTE: if you'd like to give a short talk, please reach out to the event organizers! We're always looking for more speakers, even day-of.
Special thanks, once again, to our friends at Def Method for hosting! Because of their generosity, some non-alcoholic beverages and light snacks will be served.
