New Yorker Meetup at the Blanton -- Third Thursday!

Readings from the October 7th 2013 issue. 1) FREEDOM OF INFORMATION "The newspaper that took on the N.S.A" by Ken Auletta 2) FICTION "I'm the Meat, You're the Knife" by Paul Theroux 3) KEEPING THE FAITH "Egypt's preachers after the crackdown" by Peter Hessler. We'll look for each other in the cafe across from the Blanton where the gift shop is. You may wish to attend the gallery talk at 6:00. Admission to the Blanton is free on third Thursdays so consider paying a visit to the Blanton before our meetup. There is a campus parking garage just east of the Blanton. If you use the garage, you can get a parking voucher in the Blanton for $3.00. There is free parking in the streets (after 6:00 or 7:00?) on the other side of MLK.
