Fun night ! Everything worked out great. The key is to arrive early. I enjoyed catching up with friends and getting into the holiday spirit.

There were many activities going on tonight at the tree lighting ceremony and all the stores were open. It was much better then last year and more like it used to be. Lots of vendors on the street, better organized and much more fun.

A couple of favorite restaurants in Ridgewood I like is East Coast Burgers, Baumgart's Café, The Office, Raymond's, and Harry's Burritos. We will take a vote and get into little groups after the Christmas Tree lights go on.

Attention all RSVP (Christmas Tree Lighting) attendees [fairly long message!]: I co-organized this event with Tom last year and - although fun - elements of it were unbelievably chaotic. Tom did a great job last year organizing and making people comfortable. I am probably not going to go on Friday but a couple of key suggestions for all of you to consider:

    1) Parking is insanely chaotic - I think I parked half a mile away from the green/ park. A small number of you WILL run late or possibly give up upon entering the town. I am not discouraging you...just warning you. I gave out my cell number last year and fetched a number of you 1-2 hours INTO the event last year. Be prepared.

    2) Later in the evening last year, the group settled at Fish Urban Dining (East Ridgewood Ave) for some cocktails. Great place to meet up or unite with group if necessary. The area around the train station will be crazy with crowds and all!

Thank you for a moment of your time, as I wish to help!

Park on the side of the Stop & Shop building facing T.D. Bank. Do not park at T.D. Bank. Meet at the front entrance building at 6pm. At 6:30pm we will start walking to downtown Ridgewood.

If you are going to be later, meet at Starbucks coffee located downtown Ridgewood. If you do not find us, meet at the last block before the stage where the toy stand is in the middle of the street.
