What is this class?

New Earth Drumming is a distinct kind of non-religious musical event. Based on a blend of ancient drumming and chanting, it has the quality of quieting the mind with the proper intention. Every drummer has a unique experience. Everyone plays hand drums and percussion. Participants line up in a drum circle and follow the Sonero (leader) in rhythm and song improvisation. Usually one sessiyon lasts approximately 1-2 hours full of universal beats and soulful expressions. Members play with each other and experience a profound connection with the group and inner self. The person becomes relaxed and reinvigorated after each session. Since there are no words in the sound vibration the encounter can be transformative and enriching.

Why should I take this class?

Recent studies on biofeedback show that drumming induces brain waves that are similar to the brain waves of meditation. Drumming can help us learn about stress reduction. Drumming to the rhythm of your heartbeat is effortless and immensely pleasurable. The experience transcends all boundaries.

Participants have a great time celebrating the spirit of drumming. Connect with the deep pulse of magical rhythms to the heartbeat of the drum. Drumming can have a profound effect on your physical and emotional well being. It can boost the immune system, provide social support, brain stimulation, and heighten self awareness.

This event is a great opportunity for a mystical drum and percussion experience. Alejandro creates a joyous and exciting rhythmic interplay between participants of all levels. Drums will be provided or bring your own drum, rattle or instrument. No prior musical experience necessary! Open to all like minded multidimensional beings.

How much is it?

Fee// $15 peace offering.

It was so wonderful that I could participate. I look forward to the next one and also possibly working on something together in the future to help people have the opportunity to express creatively and experience joy, healing and improve their health and wellness in a connected heart centered way. Many Blessings." - Debra (2016 )

"Alejandro facilitated a 1.5 hour drum circle for my office’s summer picnic. When we were setting up the event, Alejandro was very responsive to my emails. I like that he asked what our group hoped to achieve and what our goals were for the class. I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor or a better experience for our group. Alejandro’s class helped our team bond and have an amazing and memorable summer picnic. One of my favorite aspects of his class was it allowed for different people in our group to both lead and follow during the drum circle. I would absolutely recommend Alejandro’s class to anyone." - Michelle from Boulder Associates Architects (2015)
