During the annual football feasts, instead I organize hikes. I was born in Dallas and am a Cowboys fan, so I don't have a horse in this race.
Let's keep it simple and close. We will meet at the Southern top of Reseda - South of Ventura Blvd. for a 8 mile adventure to the "Hub" and return back to our cars.
We will start at kickoff time which is 3:30 and end around 7:00. This hike as I have done before on Super Sunday, will start on a fire road and merge onto a lightly used trail, then looping back onto another fireroad which will take us back to our vehicles.
Participants should bring 2 liters of water, snack, raingear (just in case), flashlight or headlamp and a love of nature in the peace and quiet, because with most of the world in front of the idiot box, we will have the trail to ourselves.
Your GPS or your brain will take you to the 3600 Reseda Blvd. meeting spot. You should park BELOW the yellow stripe in the FREE section, where we will meet at 3:30. It is not hard to miss as you walk up the hill. Driving in the park can be a problem because of a camera light by the stop sign, which is near the yellow stripe!
