In honor of Benjamin Franklin’s 308th birthday, the NPS is offering free admission to the Benjamin Franklin Museum.
Entrance to the courtyard either from Market or Chestnut Streets, between 3rd and 4th Streets.
Please don't head over to the Franklin Institute! :-)
Our group will meet at or near entrance. Will have sign, but around 3:10, we will disperse into the museum.
Visit the only museum dedicated to the life and legacy of one of the most extraordinary Founding Fathers any time during his birthday weekend.
You don’t need to register in advance for free admission; just visit the museum on one of these three days and your admission will be complimentary courtesy of visitphilly.com.
Thanks to Rebecca, Becky & Dawn from bringing this to my attention.
Throughout the weekend, the museum will be hosting a variety of birthday-themed celebrations including a parade, special presentations and a birthday party complete with free cake.
The Meetup group will be meeting at 3pm. Its a small museum so couple of hours is sufficient. And if something needs to be looked at again, you can always come again on Sunday.
The museum is free from Friday the 17th to Sunday the 19th. 9-5pm
NOTE: The NPS will decide if the museum is over capacity so slight chance we may need to reschedule.
