Michael Vick liked sitting around a pit watching animals fight. We enjoy sitting around the summer barbecue pit roasting the corpses of animals who have had lives and deaths that are as bad as, if not worse than, Vick’s dogs. What is the difference between Michael Vick and those of us who eat animal foods? Join us on March 10 for a conversation with Gary L. Francione, professor of law at Rutgers School of Law-Newark and co-author of the 2013 Exempla release Eat Like You Care: An Examination of the Morality of Eating Animals. Part lecture and part discussion, this event will prompt you to reflect on what you eat. Come listen, ask, contribute, and challenge yourself.
Copies of Eat Like You Care: An Examination of the Morality of Eating Animals will be sold at the event.
