Sorry everyone, my guests backed out this morning and it looks like I'm going to get stuck at work. In the event I finish up early enough to attend most of the meeting tonight, I'll be there; otherwise, I will not. I do, however, plan on attending next month. Enjoy.

Sorry to go on the Maybe list, but I had an unanticipated outpatient medical procedure yesterday that had led to unexpected problems today. I had hoped to feel more in control of the situation by now, but I'm not. I have a suggested topic too.

In life, but not philosophy!, I'm a realist. Best to not expect me, and then if I make it it'll be a surprise for all of us.
This too would make an interesting topic: in what sense do we *construct* our situations and how deep does that go. As I understand it, *realism* claims that our our always fluid situations are actually given by a tangible reality that exists outside our beliefs and attitudes. Note: this is not inherently deterministic, as I understand it, because we are free to react to it as we will. This needs more work; I may be able to make an extra effort just to discuss this!

It's Metro Atlanta, traffic is often inconvenient. I acknowledge the difficulties.

I shall look on the positive side of this... two thinkers are already lining up for June...

Can't make it. Moving and need to pack. Perhaps June will be better.

I am so disappointed to not be able to be there, but fully intend to come in June now that the school year has wound down. Miss the dicussions!
