  • ☆ Every other Wednesday morning, we have a great time trekking for one hour into the "wilds" of Limekiln Canyon. This is a gem of a local hike starting from the Rinaldi St. trail head.

Limekiln Canyon Trail offers much variety, including stream crossings, pretty vistas, canopies of trees, bird watching and other interesting flora and fauna.

Hope you can join for fun, fellowship and fitness... and a bit of wild.

There's a Latin phrase, solvitur ambulando, ("it is solved by walking"). See you on the trail!

Route: Limekiln Canyon Trailhead @Rinaldi Street. toward Hollow Springs Drive, U-turn at the foot of the steep incline.

    Duration: 60 minutes
    Distance: 2 miles
Pace: 1 mile in 20 to 21 minutes. You may check your pace using GPS or a treadmill.
    Route: Mostly single trail.
It is fairly flat.. expect minor climby sections and possible stream crossings.

Parking: On street. As always, it is suggested that you NOT leave valuables in your car ... leave them at home. Either you or a thief can remove your valuables from your car, so let it be you. "HIDE IT-LOCK IT-KEEP IT"

Terrain: Hard packed dirt, gravel, pavement
    Shade factor: Partial
    Restroom: None

Dogs: Ok, (if friendly with people/other dogs, socialized, and leashed). Please follow group, local and state laws. See "About us" section for dog screening information. Please contact Gale with any questions regarding Dog Screening.

Good things to bring on this walk: Water (1 Liter), sungear (sunscreen, hat, sunglasses), umbrella (you never know), positive attitude. Make sure that your shoes/boots have a good tread. Brightly-colored clothing adds visibility.

: If you RSVP that you will attend, then for any reason decide not to attend, please update your RSVP before the start time.

: Attendees are bound by the information in the "About Us" section specific to this group, as well as Meetup Terms of Service Agreement, especially Section 6.2. You are asked to review these items, and each individual event description in it's entirety, prior to attending any event.

Every Monday and Thursday evening, we walk for an hour. See our calendar for details and to RSVP.

This is a fantastic group to enjoy for healthy fun and making friends. Fun and friends make it easier to do your 10,000 daily steps for your health. We want you to enjoy the benefits of this group. Our ALL-VOLUNTEER team of five leaders, plus event hosts, do our best to make your experience pleasant, safe and rewarding. If you have questions or concerns, bring them to us.

Thank you for being a member of this group.

    Health and happiness,
