Porter Ranch Power Walk! Thursday 7 PM

  • Hey there, Power Walkers (averaging 1 mile in approximately 17-18 minutes, including inclines)!  JOIN US for Susan's Weekly Power Walk to burn some calories, get a cardio workout, and have some fun!

    For those who are working on their cardio, Susan will lead a BRISK WALK, on residential streets. Susan's Walk includes several inclines (the greatest being a 13% grade) and a FAST PACE!  The pace with Susan is 1 mile in approximately 17 to 18 minutes*.  Thanks to Susan!

    If two hosts are listed, that indicates that there'll also be a casual walk on residential streets.  The Walk is suitable for those whose pace is 1 mile in 20 to 22 minutes*.   Same starting location and time as Susan's walk, but a slightly different route in order to have few minor elevation increases and decreases.

    *You may use a treadmill to determine your pace.

    Did you know? ... Every Monday evening, we walk for an hour in a different P.R. location.  See our calendar for details and to RSVP.

    NOTE: If you RSVP that you will attend, then for any reason decide not to attend, please update your RSVP before the start time.

    WINTER MONTHS: Good things to carry on this walk: Flashlight or headlamp, water, positive attitude. Make sure that your shoes have a good tread.  High-visibility clothing is a safety plus!

    Parking: As with every event, it is suggested that you not leave valuables in your car ... leave them at home. Either you or a thief can remove your items from your car, so let it be you.  "HIDE IT-LOCK IT-KEEP IT"
