What we’re about

We are just now starting to have live events! Proof of vaccination may be required. Be well! Be safe! I am looking for hosts to schedule activities. Please reach out to me if you are interested. Let's think safe thoughts! Thank you.

Event participants are required to be a member of this meetup group, and have made a "Yes" RSVP for each event you are attending. It is necessary for each member's profile to show a current and clear face photo, so that the event host knows who is expected. All organizers and hosts are not professional walk/hike leaders or guides and are volunteers. The function of the member or organizer is to organize the outing. Each person and the guest(s) attending a meetup is responsible for his or her own safety. By attending any event organized by this group, you are aware of the risks associated with the activities.

Please, as always, check with your doctor before starting any exercise program. Be aware of especially hot or cold days. You might want to alter your walk accordingly. Myself, Gale and the leadership team, is not responsible for any injuries that might happen before or after or during a walk. By joining this group, you agree to walk at your own risk. Please bring water on hot days and a sweater or jacket on cooler days. You take full responsibility for your walking pace and progress. There are some up and down parts to this walk as well as possible items in the road such as small rocks etc. It is your responsibility to walk slowly and carefully to avoid these possible obstacles. You might want to bring a flashlight to light dark parts of the walk as the days grow shorter. Remember: You walk fully at your own risk as soon as you join this meetup. Also on occasion, a pet owner might bring his or her pet to walk with us. All pets brought must be approved by the leadership team prior to your first event, and you, the member are only allowed to bring one, well trained and behaved and friendly pet. Please be aware of any allergies or fears you might have about a pet being near. Lastly, as we walk in the upper part of Porter Ranch, there have been sightings of some wild animals around these areas. So far, we have not encountered any, such as a coyote, but there is always a possibility. I am not trying to frighten anyone, only to bring awareness. Please read each event description of each walk/hike for specific details and added rules for each meetup. For example, we don't permit dogs to every walk. These are our rules and guidelines.

Thank you for your understanding... Now let's GET OUT THERE AND WALK!!! lol
