Sandy River Delta (SRD) Hike

Directions: Take I-84 east past Troutdale [exit 17], across the Sandy River.
Get off at exit 18. The sign will say "Lewis and Clark State Park."
Lewis & Clark is on the south side of the interstate, SRD is opposite that on the north side of the interstate.
At the end of the ramp, there is a stop sign. Turn right and go under the freeway and the road will lead to the SRD in about 1/4 mile.
Proceed and park near the toilets.

I really enjoyed this. I've been going to 1000 acre park~ or what it's now been named sandy River Delta for over 10 yrs. I have never taken the trail to the Columbia before. Thanks to Mr.Miller for being such a great guide.

It was a great hike and my dog and I had a wonderful time. The only thing I'd add is that we should have asked how long we would be gone. I didn't bring a snack or water and we were out there for four hours. Next time I'll check with the leader before we start or just bring water and fruit.

Today was my first meet. Met some really nice people and the dogs had a great time. They were so exhausted after running around and playing they had to sleep it off most of the afternoon. We will definitely be out again.
