Let's go with Two Brothers. How about Saturday the 27th of this month? I've joined your suggested meetup and we need just one more person to join to make it appear on the main page. John, can you add the location and date?

THANK YOU, Tristan, for organizing last week's meet-up! People discussed options for next time, and I visited Two Brothers (Serbian and Croatian) on SE Belmont at 39th. It's heavy on the meats - including Polish sausage, they say - but also includes Pasulj bean stew, different soups (chicken, spinach, tomato) and Serbian cornbread. Maybe worth a visit? Any place is fine - just hope to see you all again in April!

So, Bar Dobre doesn't take reservations. I thought last time it was just because of the concert, but it's that way in general. The guy on the phone said it's usually not a problem to get a table outside of peak hours 7-8.
I will be there at or very close to 7, but will be unable to get there earlier. If someone has the time and motivation to get there a little early, it might increase our chances of getting a table.
Even if we have to stand at the bar for a little while, I'm sure we'll manage.

Tak tak tak!
My daughter and I will try to get there around 6:50.
I'll bring my daughter (my +1), and think Kasia N will attend, too.
Witam. Sadly, I will be working that night. Hopefully I can make the next meet-up.

I was thinking that it might be nice to add an educational aspect to this meeting. I don’t want to change the casual or conversational nature of the meetings, but maybe a short 5-10 minute information presentation connected with Poland would be nice. Here are some general ideas
1. Something from Polish history or a historical figure, maybe something on the lighter side, not the partition of Poland or much war stuff2. Current events3. Polish culture, modern, pop, traditional4. Vacation spots in Poland, preferable from someone who has been there
I’m willing to do the talk, if people are interested. However, if someone else wants to volunteer, I won’t stop you.
The idea that comes to my mind is Easter traditions, since our meeting is the week before Easter.
I could talk about some of the more general or widespread traditions that I observed and know about and then others can share their more personal experiences.
What do you all think?
