This really is the best way to learn! You will learn by doing - there is a programme of speeches and each has a specific goal to enable you to get better and better. And there are loads of club roles that mean at each meeting, you will doing something that gets you speaking in front of an audience.
On top of this, at every meeting, every speaking role gets evaluated so you will get immediate and positive feedback in the form of commendations and recommendations. You will hear some prepared speeches and we'll have some impromptu speaking too.
Many of us started out a little unsure about public speaking, but now we enjoy doing it and sharing the learning experience with new members.

The Reigate Rhetoric is a new public speaking group based in Reigate, Surrey. The club is part of Toastmasters International, the global not-for-profit educational organisation which specialises in public speaking, confidence building and leadership development.
At meetings there will be opportunities to listen to speakers delivering their own speeches, to practice a bit of impromptu speaking, hear speech evaluations from experienced speakers, and learn more about what we do and how we do it.
Admittance is free of charge and there is no commitment.
