What we're about

We gather to discuss books that are variously called psychological memoir, first person accounts, or autobiography about the experience of suffering from mental illness. Our scope is broad, including addiction, developmental disabilities, and family dysfunction. Our selections are intended as accurate representations of human experience and must be a well written work of literature. Our name is of course a reference to Marcel Proust, even though many would dispute that he should be classified as a person who was mentally ill. He is acclaimed by many as having written the definative memoir of inner life. Our members continue to bring a variety of opinion about what we are reading. I think new members will find thoughtful discussions about our choices. Go to the store website at www.storystorewf.com for more information about our club and a list of possible future selections.
