October 10th Meeting

At our Oct 10 meetup, besides taking some questions the first 20 minutes or so .. I will go over the essentials of twilight time photography. Bring your dslr camera & the camera manual just in case you need to make reference to it.

John Esposito will be organizing a soon to be twilight photography outing to go along with the above tutorial. He will give you more information on this at the meetup.

John will also be talking about photo copyrighting & other related legalities regarding a photography business or sale of photos.

We hope you can attend.

Until then, as always ... HAPPY  SHOOTING  !!!  (Ron)

Hi all... I had signed on to attend Oct 10 however... had to return early to CA ( actually on that exact day ) Wish I could have been in attendance to meet you all... maybe next time? I did get some awesome images of Adirondack's spectacular Autumn colors and other beautiful locations around Rochester... and my favorite... Niagara Falls :)

I always enjoy this meetup. And this one was exceptional. there are so many things to think about when photographing a scene and this meetup gave a concise reminder of things to check off in order to get the "big" picture, all the little things you usually don't remember. And the little taste of the copyright issue promises a lively discussion for the next meetup in Nov. Thanks, guys

Solid Fundamentals. Ron was well prepared as always and John's putting up the slides on the website is fabulous. Ron's justification for his recommendations for Twilight Photography opened my eyes to some of the technology behind my Canon's camera's decision making process. Appreciated John's comments about protecting your images via the Copyright process. I am looking forward to next month's meeting

Print photography requires interest in developing film. I do not have that interest, but since I am a "gadget guy" I am interested in learning to experiment with editing software. This seems like a very creative thing to do. I went to a talk at Eastman on photos with which artists combined various media to create very interesting work. This too seems like a very creative thing to do.
