Growing & Aging: The Tappan Library and New York Council for the Humanities will offer a monthly reading and discussion series designed to explore questions about entering middle age, growing older, caring for aged loved ones, and finding satisfaction in the later stages of life
The series continues on Saturday, May 17 at 3 p.m. The second book in the series is Judith Viorst’s Necessary Losses. An author trained in psychoanalysis, Viorst explores a subject central to everyone’s life: loss. The losses of childhood. The loss of the impossible expectations we bring to all our relationships. The losses, as we age, of our younger selves. And, of course, the loss of people we love.
Books are available at the Front Desk of the library. This program is free and open to the public but pre-registration at http://www.taplib.org is required. Please call 845-359-3877 for more information.
